Sustainable Capstone Projects (SCAP) Program
Sustainable Capstone Projects (SCAP) Program
The importance of studies in the field of renewable energy has increased dramatically in the recent years, due to the increasing concerns on environment. The more motivated, well-educated and skilled young engineers exist in the society, the more chance would the world have in tackling the problems of energy crisis and global warming. To address this issue, Assoc. Dr. Keyvan Bahlouli and Asst. Prof. Dr. Neyre Tekbıyık Ersoy founded and implemented a novel program called SCAP (Sustainable Capstone Projects) program in April 2023. Sustainable Capstone Projects (SCAP) Program is a program that provides opportunity to CIU engineering students for realizing creative projects in a sustainable way.
OBJECTIVES
Sustainable Capstone Project (SCAP) Program aims to utilize/reuse old electronic equipment and scrap/recyclable materials to create engineering projects. Current focus of the program is based on renewable energy related projects in order to achieve sustainability not only in terms of material usage, but also in terms of environment.
